Expanding AI Access Across the Nation: ICE’s Strategic Collaboration with International Partners

The International Creative Exchange (ICE) recently held an introductory seminar on Artificial Intelligence (AI) at the Barista Hall of the Regional Job Training Center (PPKD) in East Jakarta on Wednesday, July 23, 2025. Carrying the theme “The Importance of AI for Indonesia’s Future”, the event highlighted the growing urgency of AI adoption across various sectors, particularly in business, where digital innovation is becoming essential.

The seminar was attended by 50 participants from diverse backgrounds and succeeded in raising awareness of AI’s critical role in both everyday life and the workplace. Teguh Hendrawan, Head of PPKD East Jakarta and host of the event, announced plans to develop a new curriculum that includes AI education, responding to the increasing demand for tech-savvy workers in the job market.

ICE Chairman Atta Ul Karim, the main initiator of the event, invited AI experts from the United States and emphasized that ICE has an exclusive network with an international community of certified AI trainers, with members from the U.S., the U.K., India, and Malaysia. He also shared that he has been entrusted to represent Indonesia in several international AI training forums.

In his presentation, Bharani Kumar, head of the international AI trainers’ community, stressed that AI’s utility goes far beyond chat tools like ChatGPT or Gemini. AI, he noted, can significantly ease human workloads in various fields.

This sentiment was echoed by Prof. Dr. Selvaraj, advisor at 360DigiTMG, who clarified that AI is not meant to replace human workers but rather to assist them, enabling people to achieve more. He encouraged the public not to fear AI but to prepare for its growing presence in daily life.

As a conclusion to the seminar, ICE and the international AI trainers’ community signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to support AI education development in Indonesia. Looking ahead, similar events are planned to be held across various regions, ensuring that AI awareness and education reach even the most remote areas of the country.
