UIN Imam Bonjol Padang Inks Strategic MoU with International Creatives Exchange (ICE)

In a significant move to strengthen its global outreach, Universitas Islam Negeri (UIN) Imam Bonjol Padang has officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the International Creatives Exchange (ICE) on Friday, May 23, 2025.

The signing marks the beginning of a strategic partnership between UIN Imam Bonjol Padang and ICE, an international organization focused on creativity and innovation.

In her remarks, UIN Imam Bonjol Padang Rector, Prof. Dr. Martin Kustati, M.Pd., warmly welcomed the ICE delegation and expressed appreciation for choosing the university as the first institutional partner and launch point for collaboration in West Sumatra. She emphasized that the partnership represents a vital step toward fostering global engagement through creative collaborations that benefit not only the academic community but also society at large.

“International cooperation is part of dynamic change. UIN Imam Bonjol Padang aspires not only to be an excellent university but also to make a tangible impact on the community,” said the Rector.

Prof. Kustati also stressed the importance of sustaining this collaboration, particularly in delivering real benefits to students. She expressed hope that the MoU would serve not as a conclusion, but as the beginning of meaningful joint initiatives. “Let’s unite in all things we can do together,” she added, quoting the philosophy, “Khairunnas anfa’uhum linnas” — the best of people are those most beneficial to others.

Meanwhile, ICE Chairman Atta Ul Karim expressed gratitude for the warm welcome extended by UIN Imam Bonjol Padang and conveyed his optimism about the collaboration, which he believes will pave the way for broader international partnerships in the future.

Through this alliance, UIN Imam Bonjol Padang reaffirms its commitment to embracing global innovation in pursuit of institutional advancement and meaningful contributions to both the nation and the wider ummah.
